Angela Voyles is a South Carolina native who has lived and breathed home construction and design since she was a child. Angela was influenced by an appreciation for design and aesthetics early on in her life, with her father’s contracting business and her mother’s passion as an avid antiques collector.
Having grown up schooled in the building process, and with so much extraordinary design influence around her, Angela knew by a young age what her career path would be. As a matter of course, she attended the Art Institute of Charleston and graduated with a degree in Interior Design. Upon graduation, she cut her teeth in the design business in Beaufort, by jumping right into the purchasing process and going to market to do showroom buys. This collaboration provided AV with the opportunity to gain familiarity with a wide range of furniture, manufacturer’s and product lines.
For the past decade in Charleston, she has worked and collaborated in the building and design industry. Her style is very much influenced by where she lives, on Sullivan’s Island, gathering her inspiration from a life lived by the coast. Hence the white ship-lap, neutral palette and natural accents + textures that reflect an easy, relaxed, Lowcountry lifestyle. Angela’s muse is Charleston, complete with its historical significance, quintessential architectural details, local artisans and the ever changing colors of the marshes.
